FAQ/T&C

FAQs

What time can I get onto the campsite?

Arrive from 12.30pm at the earliest please, we need time to give the grass a trim!

Depart by 11.30am at the latest.  If you require a late checkout you can request it but not until you are on site.

Glamping units have slightly different times please check your information.

Can we use a fire pit?

Yes you can unless there is a fire ban in place.   Any firepit or BBQ must be raised off the ground, we have bricks available for this.  We also hire out firepits and sell logs and kindling.

Do you sell gas?

Sorry no,  our local village shop sometimes has what campers need or there are garages in Bury St Edmunds.  The nearest camping supply shops are in Haverhill and Beck Row.   We often have a small supply of pegs.

Can we park our car on the pitch?

Yes you can take one car to the pitch.  If you have an additional car please park it in the car park.  We have limited space and you will need to have booked it in for a small charge of £3 per car per night.

Do you accept dogs?

Yes we love dogs but not too many at once, so we have a limit on how many we accept over the whole site.  One dog is included with the pitch and others can be booked in for a charge of £3 per dog per night.   However, not everyone loves dogs so they must be kept on a lead at all times.  We are in the countryside so there plenty of paths and fields to walk with your four legged friends.   The local pubs are dog friendly.

Is there WIFI on the campsite?

Unfortunately the WIFI in our area is terrible but fortunately the 4G is very good.   We therefore don't offer WIFI and find that most of our guests are either happy to get away from it or are happy to use their own 4G.

Can I play music on the campsite?

That depends! Any noise you generate should only be heard on your pitch and not by your neighbours and everything must be quiet by 10.30pm.  This also includes noise from voices, children, vehicles and anything else.

Can I camp next to my friends or with a group?

Yes we can usually arrange this for you.   When you make the booking tell us that you are with friends and give us their name. If you are a group of more than 3 pitches you will need to call us to discuss.  We are ideal for groups but we do expect all groups to abide by our rules and be considerate to their neighbours.   We will usually take a £20 deposit per pitch from a group which is refundable when you leave assuming no complaints

Can I book an entire field for my group?

Yes you can, get in touch.

Do you have a chemical disposal point?

Yes we do.  PLEASE NOTE WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING GREEN ORGANIC FLUID ONLY

Is there a bar on site?

Yes we have a bar/cafe.  This is open most days in the high season and weekends at least at other times Apr - Sept.   This year home baked pizza will be available for the first time along with paninis, fries, chicken wings etc.
