 You will find a small family run campsite at Church View. No frills but everything you need for a quiet retreat in a convenient location. Family friendly and lively in the summer months and just quiet countryside living when you most need it! 


Plenty of lanes to walk or cycle or just wander into the village of Barrow to pick up your supplies at one of the two local convenience stores.   


If you decide to 'stay in'  you are welcome to use your BBQ or firepit  while you  watch the sun go down.  Firepits available to hire, logs & kindling in stock.


On site Takeaway Bar usually open April - September


Also in the village are two pubs and a chippy!


Your four legged friends will love the local walkies and 1 dog is included per pitch.  The total number of dogs on site is limited. We are currently installing a doggie exercise area.


With loads of activities in the area the big kids will be happy and  the little ones  have a small play area on site.  The campsite rabbits and chickens love visitors too.  We let the chickens roam but if you are not keen please let us know and we can keep them enclosed. 


Church View started as a CL and has evolved  into the 36 pitch site it is today.  We offer a contactless check-in but our wardens are on site to give you a warm welcome and assistance if you need it.


PLEASE NOTE :   The site  hosts regular running events.  The start and finish line are on the campsite and there will be some movement from about 7.30am as they arrive and set off.   The events usually finish by about 3pm.    The multi distance events are open to all  www.zigzagrunning.co.uk

Campsite Information

SHOWER & TOILET FACILITIES
These are in two locations, both outside on the field and  inside the main building that you will pass on your way into the campsite. 
Generally you will be able to chose which suit you best when you arrive. There are several larger cubicles , ideal for families with young children.
There are two washing up areas,  you will find a sink undercover in the camping hub and three more outside by the outside showers. 
The elsan point for wc waste and grey waste is also located here.  
BBQ  & FIRE PITS
You are welcome to use these as long as they are raised above ground, the campsite usually have a stack of bricks to borrow. 
Firepits are also available to hire on site together with logs and firelighters etc. 
Remember NEVER to use a bbq inside a tent - even one that's almost finished could produce enough carbon monoxide to kill
QUIET HOURS & ETIQUETTE
Church View is a small quiet site and campers are asked to respect the space of others by keeping noise to a minimum between 10.30pm and 8am and supervising  children to play quietly from 9.30pm.
Parents are also asked to ensure that their children understand the boundaries of pitches and don't run across them.
There is a no amplified or loud music policy 
These rules help to ensure that families and adult only campers can enjoy their holiday equally.
PLAY AREAS
A small swing set are for the use of children under the age of 10 with parents supervision. Older children can make use of the footall goals, table tennis, pool table and shuffleboard. Boules are available to borrow with a deposit.   And why not book a family archery session?

POND
New for 2021 is our pond. The gate should be kept fastened shut after your visit and children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.  The water is deep! Our goldfish do like visitors so take a seat on the bench with a drink and watch the sun go down. 
DOGS & OTHER ANIMALS
Dogs are very welcome on site but they must be kept on a lead at all times whilst on the camping field.  There are plenty of areas to walk them locally.
Belle and Jazzie the rabbits love all the attention they can get.  Especially is you bring them some titbits! They love apple, carrot, banana but especially dandilion leaves and flowers. 
The campsite chickens provide some lovely eggs and any surplus will be on sale.
